Thank you everyone who has donated to the forum, It is appreciated and we are thinking of a way to reward donations as such. Maybe have an elite scheme as suggested. Hopefully we will have something implemented soon.

Thank you KGB for your latest donation.

Something like the Platinum member status that is used on minelabowners.com would work. A simple badge or emblem of sorts placed under the members name and avatar pic that comes up on each post. A small recognition of a donation received to help run the forum and one that would help to encourage others to do the same.

Personally(not that anyone gives a toss anyway) but I`ve always been an ardent oposer of "elitism" status `s on ANY forum ,

Hello Guy's,
My lad Ben had an idea that was full of good intentions. And thank you Dorsetfly also, it is appreciated.

On reflection I think the best approach is to  have a forum that's equal to all and free to all. if someone decides they would like to donate I am very grateful and thankful, if you can't or do not want too that's ok. but what matters most is this forum is for all walks of life and as long as our members and visitors mean well then that's all good. I certainly don't want to create elitism there is enough of that sh it in the world and I feel that this could unintentionally create this, even though well intended.
Thank's Ben you have a good heart. but in a twisted world it can be misinterpreted unfortunately. but thank's all the same.

Still don't hurt to donate a few quid to help keep these forums running for everybodys benefit.  Just a shame that we all take a different view on this sort of thing.

My personal view is that Daryn thought up the saying

"No where to hide"  under the BLISSTOOL brand name. There were thoughts to make the forum "members only" to post and view but that would have:

a) Gone against that lovely saying,
b) Given in to the knockers of the brand
c)  made it more difficult for people to find out what the
    brand is all about.
d) we have nothing to fear so why hide away?
e) Yes, clowns like "Barking mad" Barford can see posts but
you are never going to stop determined anti-detectorists
    and BLISSTOOL knockers from access.

I'm against a similar system to the MLO "platinum members" for a few reasons I won't go in to here.

However, I think a simple "I donated" under the Avatar is sufficient......and possibly a badge of some description to wear? (via post)

A simple I donated under a name would do the trick Bob doesn't have to be anymore.  It would just show that person cares enough to help pay for their pleasure.

Yep i like the idea of a little line along the lines of "I support BlisstoolUk" would be good. No extra privileges or crap like that.

Hello Dorsetfly.

I like that more subtle approach, and Paul's line.
I'll get back to you soon.
